National Poetry Month

I am still a teacher at heart, and when I think April, I think National Poetry Month. Here is this month’s line-up for the blog:

April 5-9: My Top 5 Favorite Poems

April 12-16: The Lesser-Known Poets (featuring poems from my friends)

April 19-23: Poetry Workshops (a few easy poetry lessons)

April 26-30: Student Poetry (featuring students’ work from schools i have visited)

April is also National Child Abuse Prevention month, so I generally post a few writings on that topic (which can be viewed on my Gather profile).
